Workshop – ‘Boudoir Doll’ continuing. Workshop Competition will be judged at Christmas Luncheon.
A lovely , relaxing meeting day with No Doll Sales & No Workshops….Members were able to chat, mingle & enjoy each others’
company
… and talk
about DOLLS!
September’s Meeting was very busy, busy, busy….
Lots of topics to cover, business to be discussed, DOLLS to be admired, bought, sold, and generally enthused about!!
Another very well-attended meeting with another brand-new Member – we all welcomed Johanna ‘Anna’ to the fold! Here’s some photos from the busy, busy day!!
A fabulous day with the usual fierce Competition entries, fabulous Dolls and friendly Members, some even wearing Easter hats! Very interesting talks were given by Anna Skaanvad (Sasha Morgenthaler dolls), Marjory Fainges (‘Annabelle’ French reproduction doll), Lyn Ryan (Danish ‘Dan’ & Sue Clarke’s silk cloth ‘Danbi’ dolls) & Cheryl Thompson (Little Tuppence dolls). Members later continued on with the ‘Topsy-Turvy’ doll Workshop, the proceedings ending with a wonderful SALE of donated dolls & Magazines thanks to some generous Members of the public!
It was all business for the newly-elected 2018 Committee – with lots of reports, general business and plenty of discussion about upcoming events & exciting happenings! A special talk & demonstration by Founding Member & Australian Doll Expert / Author – Marjory Fainges on ‘Cleaning & Repairing old dolls’ held the Members in fascination as we learned the DO’s & DON’Ts essential to keep those precious older dolls in existence for another century & more! Lunch, followed by the fabulous ‘Topsy-Turvy Doll’ Workshop – which will be continued again at Loganlea venue at April’s Meeting. Finally, the SALE to end all SALES with a collection of beautiful donated dolls up-for-grabs along with some other treasures resurrected from the depths.
…..it was exhausting, but FABULOUS – OF COURSE!!

New Announcements for March 2018’s Monthly Meeting at Clayfield, Qld :-
A wonderful start to the New Year saw us giving a massive Thank You to the retiring President Lyn Ryan, and welcoming in the new President – Elaine Scanlon. The new Committee Members were also elected, and Members enjoyed a sumptuous lunch with plenty of beautiful dolls entered into the ‘Valentine’s Day’ Competition…
We’ve already seen everyone’s FAVOURITE dolls earlier in the year, so we had to see the runners-up – Believe us, they weren’t disappointing in the least!!
Members chose to dress up for Melbourne Cup day as well – they don’t s
crub up too poorly either!!
